UHMW Poly Skid Shoe Kits for New Holland Grain Heads
Protect the OEM metal skid plates on compatible New Holland grain heads with May Wes UHMW Poly Skid Shoe kits. The smooth poly surface helps reduce wear on the original metal skid plates while allowing the head and cutterbar to operate closer to the ground.
May Wes skid shoes are manufactured from virgin UHMW-PE rather than reground material. Each skid shoe is compression molded or CNC-cut and formed at the May Wes facility in Hutchinson, Minnesota, to serve as a direct aftermarket replacement for the original OEM skid shoe.
Each kit includes all skid shoes required to replace the original OEM skid shoes for the selected grain head configuration. The necessary rivets are included with every kit for easy installation. Cutterbar skid shoes and draper skid plates are not included and are sold separately.

Compatibility depends on the selected model and may also depend on the grain head’s serial range, head width and single- or dual-drive configuration. All May Wes skid shoes are predrilled with counterbored holes, unless specified as undrilled.

- Check the serial number when selecting a 74C or 84C kit.
- Choose single or dual drive when that option applies.
- For 973 and 73C heads, confirm whether predrilled or undrilled skid shoes are required.
