May Wes pioneered the application of UHMW poly in the ag industry with the introduction of poly skid shoes during the 1970s. We discovered that farm equipment lasts longer and passes through fields with amazing ease by attaching slick and durable UHMW poly to areas of friction and where dirt and debris build-up cause parts to wear out faster.
Over the course of 50+ years, we have developed unrivaled expertise in working with UHMW poly and have introduced thousands of poly products, including skid shoes, G4 Stalk Stompers, liners, snowplow cutting edges and much more.
May Wes was founded in 1972 by Gibbon, Minnesota, farming couple Mavis and Wesley Bruns. They needed a name for their business so they combined their first names, and in a clever play on words, May Wes was born.
In 2002, Tom Daggett acquired May Wes and established Pride Solutions, LLC, under which we operate four divisions including May Wes, C&A Pro, Pride Engineered Plastics and Pride Assembly. Tom transformed May Wes’s business operation. He introduced a number of organizational and strategic changes, improved inventory management processes, and made major investments in new manufacturing equipment. Under his leadership, May Wes secured its enviable marketing presence and became one of the first in our industry to embrace e-commerce.
In 2016, Tom’s son Jack Daggett became president of May Wes and Pride Solutions, LLC. Under Jack’s leadership, May Wes has grown substantially and has introduced dozens of new products including our award-winning G4 Stalk Stompers. Jack has continued investing in the company, doubling the size of our manufacturing facility in 2023, and acquiring new equipment including additional compression molding presses, a robot assisted CNC lathe and an additional CNC router.
