Custom Poly Capped Bolts

Poly Capped Bolts are made by compression molding Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) plastic directly to the bolt. The entire head of the bolt is covered with a minimum of 1/4″ seal. This process greatly reduces the possibility of the head becoming detached.

Our bolts can be used in a variety of applications where there is excessive friction and wear or high velocity. They excel at protecting steel, aluminum and wood surfaces. Our Poly Capped Bolts are used by companies with products that require a 100% poly surface, even where hardware needs to be attached to the existing poly surface.

UHMW is very slick and, therefore, hard to secure. Our Poly Capped Bolts offer customers the ability to securely fasten parts together and maintain a 100% poly on poly surface. For material handling applications, this improves performance by reducing drag and increasing the longevity of the parts.  Our purpose-built counterbore tools allow customers to easily make the perfect hole for the bolt every time, leaving the head of the Poly Capped Bolt flush with the sheet material.
