Protect Pavement with Poly Cutting Edges for Plows & Buckets

Winter is right around the corner and heavy snows are forecasted! It’s time to order your May Wes UHMW Poly Cutting Edge to avoid ugly damage to your expensive pavement.

May Wes UHMW Poly Cutting Edges are available for snowplows, snow pushers, box plows, and buckets. Cut from virgin UHMW poly, never reground, our Poly Cutting Edges are extremely durable and wear resistant. Poly blades are designed to protect smooth, hard surfaces such as concrete, asphalt and cobblestone. These are not intended for use on rough surfaces, such as gravel. Some of our customers even use Poly Cutting Edges to move chicken litter or fertilizer.

We custom cut and drill our Poly Cutting Edges to your specifications right here in our Hutchinson, Minnesota, plastic fabrication shop. We offer UHMW poly blades in 4″, 6″ and 8″ widths and 3/4″, 1″ and 1 1/2″ thicknesses. We can make poly blades as long as 119.″ We can bevel the edges for bucket and skidloader applications, and also drill straight or counterbored holes.

Need custom skid shoes for your snow pusher or box plow? We can do that, too. We even made individual cutting edges for Stanley the Dirt Monkey's Arctic LD Sectional Snow Pusher.

How to Order your UHMW Poly Cutting Edge

Ordering poly cutting edges is easy. You can order them online, through your local May Wes dealer or give us a call at 1-800-788-6483.

We just need to get a couple of details from you:

  • How long of a poly blade do you need?
  • How wide of a poly blade do you need?
  • How thick of a poly blade would you like? We recommend 3/4″ to 1″ for personal use and 1 1/2″ for commercial use. The thicker the blade, the longer it will last.
  • Is your snowplow a vertical plow like on a pickup truck, box plow or snow pusher, or is it a horizontal plow like on a tractor bucket? We bevel the cutting edges for horizontal applications and counterbore the holes.
  • If you want us to drill the holes, we will need the measurement from the edge of the plow to the center of each hole.
  • We normally drill the holes down the center of the cutting edge so you can flip the cutting edge when one side wears down, unless you specify otherwise.
  • Would you like to order poly blade hardware kits from us?

We can make your custom snowplow cutting edge and get it shipped out the door in just a few business days.
